Let's hope that it means the next offering from Canon comes in at about that same price point (about USD$2000). Maybe they (Kodak) know something?

More likely it a natural fallout of their recent announcements regarding their positioning (or non positioning) as a camera maker.

    Don

I might add that galbraiths site says that Kodak is dropping the digital backs to focus on making large sensors and develop high end DSLR's. Could be intersting.

Unfortunately the rules of the PERM process are pretty rigid. It is unlikely that you would succeed in getting the denial reversed and the appeal process could take a year or more. Unless you are beyond your 5th year of H-1 status, your best course is to start the process again.

    Q) What happens to my pending AoS if I switch job with different responsibilites on H-1B?
    Q) 180 day rule of AC21 portability is applicable as of the receipt data or notice date?
    Q) Do I need to file AC21 if working for the same employer in a different position?

I have a cousin who converted EB3 to EB2 after applying for 485. He got his green card too. I think you should consult some good lawyer. But this can be done.

    Hi,
I will be sponsoring US visitor's visa for my parents. They will be going to Kolkata consulate for visa interview. I believe my parents need to carry my Birth Certificate along with other documents for the interview. Do they need to carry my original birth certificate or copy of my birth certifcate is fine.
    Thanks

better pray for the CIR to be passed first.
then get a comfortable chair and wait for the 20+ millions illegals to get ahead of you in the queue
This is not 100% true. However, they will have some effect!
does anyone know when they will discuss it - in the house and in the senate?

    Hi
I am planning to port my EB3 to EB2 but I donot have the Approval copy of my I-140 of my EB3 (But I have the receipt number) and I asked my privious Employer(who applied my case in EB3 and I used AC21 and moved to another company) for a copy of approved I-140 and he is not willing to give it to me.
Can I still port with out having I-140 approval copy of EB3? if yes, how?

    Guys,
I just wanted to share some good news. I had two approved LCs. One with PD EB3 ROW March 05 and the other with ROW EB3 March 06. I had already filed the I-140 for the March 06 but not for the March 05 one. That was because of the way the job requirement was worded in that LC. The attorney was not sure if it would be approved. Anyway since the earlier PD became current in June I decided to take a chance and file I-140 for that earlier PD LC with PP. And what do you know, it got approved today and that allowes me to file for AOS this month. It was a bit of a gamble with money but it worked!!!

Dear Experts I need this suggestion ASAP to prove I-140 ability to pay.

My Priority Date EB3 is Apr, 2004 and Company is in Loss for '04,'05 and '06 and so can't prove Net assets is greater than liablities or revenue is greater than proffered wage. However Company recently has been approved for line of credit which is greater than(>) the proferred wage.

The only way to show the ablity to pay is by showing the w2 that I have been paid the proffered wage since the priority date which is April 04. But I did not work from Jan'04 though mid of '05 because of health reason. During that time, I was paid by the disability insurance from the employer and I paid the tax for disability income while filing the W-2.
After I joined back on mid on '05 I have been paid more than proferred wage till present(June'07).

Does that satisfy the USCIS of the requirement of ability to pay or Not???

    I need help ASAP.
    Thanks everyone

Just be truthful in your applications and things will be fine.

If you are not legally divorced, make sure you do mention your wife's name in your 485 application. If you do not file a separate 485 for her, she will not get any GC. INS can not grant GC to anyone who doesn't even ask for it. Your GC will not be affected if you file for only yourself. So you save money on one 485 filing and we all get one extra GC slot.

    Hi,

Situation- PD Current and eligible to file 485

Married but seperated. What should that person mention in the form?

If he mentions his wife's name on the form, would she get GC as well?

Does he need to submit any docs for his wife? Currently planning to file for himself only.

    Please advise

    Thanks

    Hello Guys

I was told by the information officer that my application is under extended background check. Does anyone know what extended background check is?

Did anyone face the same situation? What are they even trying to do?

    Hi,

I recently went through same situation for my spouse on H4. You have 3 options:

    1. Call the CBP office where you got I-94 or local CBP office (You can find in Internet, mostly in International Airports) and request them to update thhe I -94. Which may or may not be possible technically. But you may try calling them and schedule an appointment and try this option.

    2. Go out of country and come back.

    3. File a I539 form to extend non immigrant status. Your employer should help you file it or you may file yourself. It should go to same USCIS service center or office which approved your H1 or H4.

Disclaimer: I am not a attorney. This comment is based on my experience. Please consult and attorney for any legal advise.

For H1b you cannot file I 539 but need to file I 129 which will cost lot more. I guess going out of country and coming back is good option. if you live near border area.
